Apalah arti sebuah nama...

... Itu kata Shakespeare.

Kalo kata Kang Hae-in, arti sebuah nama itu penting untuk bikin nama Korea.

Kang Hae-in is one of PAS team members who is appointed to be my tutor in Korean class. Dia selalu ngaku-ngaku sebagai 호랑이 선생님 (bahasa Koreanya guru killer) sementara menurut saya wajahnya terlalu imut untuk disamakan dengan harimau, lebih cocok disamakan dengan kelinci hahaha. Dia pakai kacamata, menurut teman-teman dia mirip sama Yoo Jae-seok (MC-nya Running Man)--dan hal itu langsung dibantah keras-keras sama dia, bahkan sampai diumumin di kelas bahasa Korea sama di kelas Talchum segala hahaha.



Kang Hae-in itu umurnya 23 tahun, jadi secara otomatis seharusnya saya manggil dia 오빠, tapi oh betapa saya benci harus manggil cowok begitu .____. Terlebih lagi, pas di kelas bahasa Korea, dia sangat menekankan bahwa dirinya adalah 호랑이 선생님, jadi kapanpun di manapun saya selalu manggil dia 선생님 (biar aja sekalian ngeledekin dia hahaha).

First day in Korean class (and Indonesian class as well) was introduction time. When we met at Korean class, he had already got Indonesian name. Arif Jakarta. He said his tutors told him that in Indonesia it's not common to use a city for person's name (while it's a common thing in Korea), but since he is not a good student, he rebelled and still put Jakarta on his name. Somehow, Arif Jakarta sounds familiar for me; I think I've either heard or read that name somewhere before, and it's a name of someone famous.

So he asked me if I had Korean name. When I answered "No", he asked what Annisa means. He somehow seemed confused (maybe because there isn't any Korean name with the same meaning), so I told him further what my full name means. After thinking for quite some lo~ng time, he finally named me:

안유희

An Yoo-hee

유 for gentle, 희 for shining, and 안 because my name starts with An.

I like that name for some reasons. It has a good meaning, of course, and it has that gentle feeling. It also rhymes with Yunho's name in some way ;) And the 희 is the same with Heechul's hohoho.
