KPopers harus masuk Sastra Korea!
Kenapa?
Masuk Sastra Korea itu bukan pembenaran buat mantengin V app tiap Sabtu & Minggu jam 10 KST (jam 8 WIB) buat nonton NCT Life.

[entertainment #02] After 7 years, finally TRAX!
Hello world!
If you read my blog since a long time ago, you may know that I love TRAX's I can Change so much. I have this particular attachment to this song of TRAX. It's my favorite out of all their releases until now, and it was also the first song I challenged myself to translate from Korean to English.
Anyway I was so devastated because in the only live video of this song, Jungmo played piano instead of guitar, while the thing that made me love this song was the guitar sound. However, today on their 2nd busking in COEX (which unfortunately, I couldn't go again), they finally performed I can Change because two fans requested for it ^o^

[learning from TV #01] I Live Alone - Henry
Hello world!
Beberapa hari lalu saya nonton 나 혼자 산다

[living as Muslim #04] Praying room in Korea Tourism Organization Seoul office
Hello world!
Another post about praying room in Seoul~ This time it's located in Korea Tourism Organization Seoul office 2F. It's not far from Gyeongbok Palace or Gwanghwamun Square, and close to Cheonggyecheon Stream. The photos were taken (by me, of course) two weeks ago (January 2017).

[living as Muslim #03] Muslim Prayer room in Lotte World
Hello world!
Another post on praying room in Seoul. This time, it is located in the infamous Korea's biggest indoor theme park, Lotte World. It seems like Lotte World has just recently opened Muslim praying room in late 2016, as when my friend visited Lotte World in January 2016, his family still couldn't pray in Muslim praying room. These photos were taken on my visit to Lotte World last December.

[memory #03] Eric Nam in KHU
Hello world!

Hello world!

[memory #01] Batik in Myeongdong
Hello world!

[living as Muslim #02] Muslim praying room in Kyung Hee University
Hello world!
Continuing the last post in [living as Muslim] category, this post is still about praying room. The university I go to, Kyung Hee University, is apparently one of the few universities who provide praying room exclusive for Muslim. This praying room has been opened since 2012, but I only knew about its whereabouts earlier this year, sigh.
Unfortunately, it is not opened for everybody, only for students who had their student ID card registered before. But if you are lucky enough, some eligible students often keep the door open after using it so you can use the room. The praying room is located in Neo Renaissance Building, B2 floor, Room B204-4.

[Korean study #03] Saya nggak bisa bahasa Korea, bagaimana peluang masuk BKK UI?
Hello world!

Hello world!
Lho terus bagaimana belajarnya? Saya kan nggak ngerti bahasa Korea sama sekali, bahkan nggak bisa baca Hangeul!

[living as Muslim #01] Mushalla at COEX Convention Center
Hello world!
One of the biggest challenge of being a Muslim in a Muslim-minority country is to find a praying room. Looking for masjid has been proven to be a difficult task; many times we have to be satisfied with a decent space to do our praying. Fortunately, as South Korea has been preparing themselves to attract more Muslim tourists, the government start to pay accommodate Muslim's basic needs such as praying room.
On March 2016, COEX Convention Center, one of the biggest and busiest convention center in Seoul has opened a praying room specially designated for Muslim. I went there few months ago. It doesn't provide you with space to do Wudu, but there's toilet located near the Mushalla so you can do Wudu easily.
If you happen to visit COEX Mall, or SM Atium, make sure you go to COEX Convention Center first. These buildings are connected, but they are not the same building.

[Korean study #01] Apa sih prospek lulusan jurusan Sastra Korea?
Hello world!

[entertainment #01] Lovely Lovey!
Hello world!
I bet most of you thought I'm gonna write about Jooyoung again for my first [entertainment] post (because myself thought so too hohoho). However, since Lovey's first mini album is released today, I decided to write about her.
![]() |
| 24 album cover |
I knew Lovey because this younger sister of Brother Su was also another RealCollabo's gems (that I discovered very late). She has been featured by numerous rappers and singers since 2011, but she officially debuted in 2013 with her brother's composed song, 돌려줘 (Return). Her soft voice is one of the voice types I fond of. If you are more into Jooyoung's old songs compared to his newest releases, I think you'd like Lovey's latest release.

Hello!
Hello world!
Uh oh, I have never posted anything since the year turned into 2016...
I met one of my favorite authors Sinta Yudisia few weeks ago in Seoul. We talked about many things starting from my thesis to the importance of writing. She gave me a lot of meaningful advice, and one of it was to blog again. So here I am, trying to revive MAX Power! ^^
I plan to categorize my upcoming posts to these:
[memory] - anything related to daily life or anything happened in the past
[travel] - places I went to or want to go to
[entertainment] - spazzing about Kpop or anything that come into my mind
[learning from TV] - something I learned or things I note down when I watch reality show
[living as Muslim] - information, tips or my stories related to living as a Muslim in Korea
[인도네시아 소개] - this is my ambition; I want to write Indonesia-related things in Korean
[Korean literary] - my other ambition; I want to challenge my ability to understand Korean literature by introducing Korean stories/poets/novels I learned in classes
[Korean study] - this will include topics such as Bahasa Korea dan Kebudayaan UI, KGSP, and my study now
Initially I plan to force myself to write a post every day but it sounds like too much... I think three to four posts a week is acceptable.
I don't know if anyone is still reading this blog, but if you are - please watch over my transformation! :) I want to revamp the design too but since I am still as clueless as ever about coding and design, I guess I have to be satisfied with revamping contents first.
Till next post!

Closing 2015
Hello world!
Whoa so I haven't written anything here since last January? This is.... too severe.... hahahaha
Many things happened last eleven months, I'm having 종합시험 next March noooo and I have to start my thesis immediately--like really, really immediately if I want to do it comfortably.
Too many things to write about that I don't know where to begin with... Seoul has been pretty good to me for the last year, although Daejeon is still very dear to me. Another niece (or nephew?) is coming on his/her way, yeay, but it's sad to see Karin and Belva leaving on February. Some of my friends (here in Korea and there in Indonesia) have knotted in marriage, enticing jealousy here and there xD Out of all, I'm happy with 2015. Even the fact that I was hospitalized and had surgery back then on July, I am thankful for that. 2015 is good.
Maybe the only thing I'm not happy with 2015 is because Jooyoung enlisted so suddenly and without any words. I know every Korean men who is qualified has to serve. I have no problem with that. I am very chill with Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, and Changmin enlisting (even though it means I am not able to see them at all before I go back to Indonesia). I accepted (with heavy heart) the news Kim Feel enlisting this year though it's very unfortunate that he has just begun to get recognition. However, I cannot be not upset upon Jooyoung's enlistment. He led us to think he would drop something before the year ends (and yes, he dropped another collaboration digital single, which performed better on charts compared to Erase or other tracks he ever released). However, right on the release day of Love Line, Starship decided to drop the bomb through Pikicast article about Hyolyn covering Adele's Hello. Freaking Pikicast. Not their own channel or official social media accounts. And it's not in an article solely talking about Jooyoung; the enlistment talk was just mentioned for a few moments.
Starship stripped my dream to attend Jooyoung's stage on music shows. Ah.
The most upsetting part is Jooyoung will be in army until (at least) October 2017..... while I will (hopefully) graduate on February 2017ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I will not be able to see him released from army, worse is I may not be able to see him ever againㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Ah.... now I'm regretting why last year I didn't have the heart to skip classes and attended Erase stages on music shows.
Reading this post you may think all I did this year was just fangirling over Jooyoung hahaha
Truth is not like that... Soulful Jooyoung is one of the joy keeps me sane during these semesters :) But it didn't take up most of my time. Of course not. The classes and the tasks are hard
Lastly please pray for me so I can visit Apple Tree again before this year ends :D but I don't know what I should say when I meet Jooyoung's mommy, ah...

Greetings from Daejeon!
Hello everyone!
Wow. I can't believe it's been six months since my last post! I didn't even update about my graduation, my move to Korea, and many other events :O I promise I'll update about those sometime later ^^
So anyway! It's winter now in Daejeon. It was zero degree this morning. I am proud to say I can tolerate zero degree quite well now! I think my body has adjusted with the coldness of Korea's winter. Below zero is very tough to bear, but I can manage thanks to my thick duck down jacket, scarf, long boots, UNIQLO's heat tech innerwear, layers of clothes, and of course, tons of hot packs.
First snow for this winter in Daejeon fell on December 1st. I managed to recorded a short video of the first snow and posted it on Instagram. That day everyone in my Instagram timeline, ordinary people or celebrities, posted photos and videos of first snow from all over Korea.

Catching up with life
Hi!
Today I was caught up in the whole Jooyoung-joins-STARSHIP X 'fiasco' (and relatives visiting our house because of Eid, of course). I decided to put up posts about Jooyoung since there are quite a number of Jooyoung's 'newly-found' fans but there isn't much information about him.
So, what about my life?
First of all, I'm S.Hum a.k.a B.A already :) These four long years finally ended beautifully, thank God.
Second, I'm flying to Korea next August for my Master program. Yes everybody, I got the KGSP scholarship :) at least for two and a half year starting next month (which is only like, two days to go), I have to work even harder than the last for years ^^;; Not that I mind, because it's the way that I chose.
I'm not gonna write details in this post since I have to wake up early tomorrow and it's past 11 already--but the thing is, once again I want to thank God for His blessings for me :)
At last, Eid Mubarak for all of you!
